2008 Autumn Exhibition
This year, Barbara McManus was the judge for the Society's Autumn Exhibition. Barbara selected "Autumn Little Gem - Magnolias", an oil painting by Karolyn Mitchell as Best In Show.

2008 Italian Exhibition
Opening on 18th July, this special exhibition of artwork with an Italian theme promises to be a very interesting show. Venice's Grand Canal, rolling Tuscan hills, Roman ruins, or a plate of pasta - Italy certainly offers a huge range of traditional and interesting subjects!
The exhibition will officially open at 7:30pm on Friday 18th July, when the prizewinners will be announced.
Artists At Work
This year's Artists At Work day, one of the highlights of the MAS calendar, was held on Saturday 7th June from 10am to 5pm. The Banquet Room at the Malvern Town Hall was the venue for live demonstrations by twelve of Melbourne's leading artists and tutors.
The demonstrators were: Helga Ivanyi (Oil), Eleanor Griffiths (Pastel), Joan Richard (Watercolour), Craig Penny (Acrylic), Alan Rawaddy (Pen & Wash), Agata Lelek (Portrait), Maxine Wade (Watercolour), Keming Shen (Oil), Antoinette Blyth (Watercolour), Malcolm Beattie (Watercolour), Jud Keresztesi (Contemporary Oil) and Janet Flinn (Wildlife Artist).
