Malvern Artists' Society

Malvern Artists' Society is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the promotion, enjoyment and teaching of art.

The society has premises in Malvern, consisting of a modern, two-roomed gallery, a large and well-lit studio, kitchen and office. These facilities are used throughout the year for exhibitions and classes, and are also available for hire.

Formed in 1957, the Society has been home to many prominent Victorian artists, and was one of the very first to offer suburban art classes in oils, pastels, watercolour and mixed media.

Classes, Workshops, Demonstrations

The Society offers day and evening art classes in a variety of media, on a term by term basis. Workshops and demonstrations led by popular artists are held regularly throughout the year.

A major event in June each year is Artists At Work; a full day of live demonstrations by some of Melbourne's leading artists, held in the Banquet Room of the Malvern Town Hall.
